Position Overview

We are seeking a highly technical Senior Product Manager to architect and oversee our comprehensive product management infrastructure. This role uniquely blends deep software engineering expertise with strategic product leadership, focusing on designing the systems, workflows, and measurement frameworks that will enable our product organization to scale with quality and efficiency.

This is not a traditional product management role—you'll be building the system that manages our products, establishing the operational backbone that ensures consistent quality, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement across all product lines.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Architecture

• Design, build, and continuously refine the end-to-end product management system that governs how products are planned, executed, measured, and improved
• Develop and implement product service codes that break down each product into measurable, trackable units of work
• Create comprehensive reporting systems and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into product quality, team performance, and operational metrics
• Engineer workflow automation and tooling that reduces friction and increases team productivity

Workflow & Process Optimization

• Design, document, and optimize standardized workflows for each product line while maintaining flexibility for product-specific needs
• Establish quality measurement frameworks and implement systems to continuously monitor and improve product output
• Build feedback loops that enable rapid iteration and refinement of product processes
• Implement version control and change management systems for workflow documentation

Knowledge Management & Advisory Network

• Source and onboard external product advisors who are specialists in specific product domains
• Create structured knowledge capture systems that document advisor expertise and best practices
• Develop comprehensive product playbooks and knowledge bundles for each product line
• Translate advisor insights into implementable processes and actionable frameworks
• Manage the workflow of refining external expertise into internal operational standards

Training & Development Systems

• Design and implement measurement systems to assess team skill levels, training effectiveness, and capability gaps
• Create training frameworks that enable product managers to execute workflows consistently
• Build competency matrices and certification programs for product team members
• Develop data-driven approaches to optimize training ROI and team performance

Team Leadership & Management

• Directly manage and mentor a team of product managers across various product lines
• Establish clear success metrics, KPIs, and performance expectations for product managers
• Conduct regular reviews of product quality and team execution against established benchmarks
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence

Technical Implementation

• Develop or oversee development of internal tools, applications, and automation that support product operations
• Build integrations between product management systems and existing tools (project management, CRM, analytics platforms)
• Create APIs and data pipelines that enable seamless information flow across the product organization
• Deploy and maintain the technical infrastructure that powers the product management system

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on involvement in building, deploying, and maintaining production applications
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.) and demonstrated ability to write production-quality code
• Experience with database design, API development, and system architecture
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices
• Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and make architecture decisions

Product & Process Management

• 3+ years of product management experience with proven track record of shipping successful products
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar)
• Experience designing and implementing workflow management systems
• Strong background in establishing metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks
• History of building repeatable, scalable processes

Systems Thinking & Design

• Proven ability to design complex systems that connect people, processes, and technology
• Experience creating documentation systems, knowledge bases, and operational playbooks
• Track record of implementing quality management systems and measurement frameworks
• Ability to think at both strategic (system design) and tactical (implementation details) levels

Management & Leadership

• Experience managing direct reports and developing team members
• Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
• Comfortable working with external advisors, consultants, and subject matter experts
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in building B2B products or tools for internal operations
• Familiarity with modern product management tools (Jira, Monday.com, Productboard, etc.)
• Experience with data analytics and business intelligence platforms
• Previous role in product operations, technical program management, or similar hybrid positions
• Exposure to multiple product domains or experience managing platform/infrastructure products
• Understanding of offshore or distributed team management
